Is this for you?

  • Something needs to change and you don’t know what.
  • You’re weighing up whether to stay, change something, leave — or wait.
  • You can think again, but the decision still feels tangled.
  • You don’t want to make a major decision from exhaustion, or just to get away.

What happens next?

Four possibilities: stay, change, leave, not yet. You work through all four — including the ones you’re sure aren’t for you. The point isn’t to pick. It’s to find out what you already know.

Getting better isn’t much use if you go straight back to what depleted you. This is the slower question underneath recovery — what actually matters now, and what the next arrangement of your working life needs to protect.

What this helps you do

Look past what’s shouting loudest

Get an accurate picture of what work has taken and what it has given, across your whole life rather than just the job.

Work out what has to change

Tell the compromises you chose from the ones imposed on you, and name what you can no longer accept.

Give every option a fair hearing

Stay, change, leave and not yet, worked through in full — including the ones you’re sure aren’t for you.

Make “not yet” an active position

Name what you need before you can decide, and put a date on when you’ll look again.

What you get

49-page PDF workbook

Nine parts, with worksheets throughout. A workbook, not a course — no videos, no modules, no login, nothing that expires.

A ten-minute version

Three questions at the front, for a day when opening a workbook is more than you have.

The ledger + the Life Map

What work has taken and given, and what it is doing to each area of your life. Nothing is scored.

A page for each possibility

Stay, change, leave and not yet, each with its own questions and room to write.

Next-step worksheets

Small steps with an On Day and an Off Day version, and four worked examples.

The Weekly Reset

Five minutes to reconnect, plus pages for when you get stuck and for the weeks that go badly.

Inside the workbook

  • Where you are now

What the work has taken and what it has given, side by side, because both matter when you’re deciding what comes next. Three pages that don’t ask you to decide anything yet.

  • What matters to you now

Finding your values, and then testing them across the areas of your life rather than in the abstract.

  • Where work sits in the rest of your life

The Life Map, and worksheets for seeing what work is doing to each area of your life.

  • Conflict, compromise, and what you can no longer accept

Four situations that all get called “values conflict at work”, told apart: competing, chosen, imposed, and not acceptable.

  • Stay · Change · Leave · Not Yet

A page each, after a short section on what you actually want. Not yet is a position, not a failure to take one — done properly it has a date on it and a list attached.

  • Next steps, and staying with it

Choosing where to put your attention, turning it into a step that still works on a bad Thursday, and the Weekly Reset — no habit grid or streak to protect.

Take a look inside

RECALIBRATE page 17: the Life Map, with eleven areas of life

See your whole life, not just the job

The Life Map: how satisfied you are with each area, and what work is doing to it.

RECALIBRATE page 31: Stay, Change, Leave, Not Yet

Weigh the four possibilities

Stay, change, leave and not yet — none of them the right answer by default.

RECALIBRATE page 40: My next steps worksheet

Turn it into a next step

Two steps at most, each checked against a tired day.

How to use it

It moves in one direction — accurate description first, then what you want, then what you do about it.

Work through it slowly — a section at a time, over weeks if that suits — or set aside an afternoon. Skip what doesn’t fit.

On a day when opening a workbook is more than you have, there’s a ten-minute version at the front — three questions, then stop.

You’ll need something to write with, and you’ll need to be reasonably honest; nobody else is going to read this.

You don’t have to finish with a major decision. Clarity can be enough.
