This explains what Still Cracked collects, why, and what happens to it. It is deliberately short, because not much is collected.

What is collected

• Your email address, if you ask for the free guide or subscribe. Held by MailerLite.
• Order details if you buy something — name, email, billing details and what you bought. Held by WooCommerce on this site and by Stripe.
• Standard web server logs kept by the hosting provider.
• Which pages you looked at, and whether you signed up or bought something, sent to Meta so that Facebook and Instagram advertising can be measured — and only if you have said yes to that. Still Cracked does not send your name or email address to Meta through this tool.

What is not collected

Your assessment answers. Your Burnout Profile is scored entirely in your browser. Your responses, your score, your band and your pattern are never transmitted to Still Cracked and are never stored anywhere. Close the tab and they are gone. If you want to keep your result, save or print the page.

Payment card details are also never collected or seen by Still Cracked — Stripe handles those directly.

Why

Email addresses are used to send the free guide and occasional writing and resources. Order details are used to deliver what you bought, provide support, and meet record-keeping obligations. Nothing is sold, rented or traded. Still Cracked does advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which means Meta can tell that you came to this site from an advertisement, and may show you Still Cracked advertisements again.

Email, and stopping it

You are only added to the list if you ask to be. When you sign up you will get one email asking you to confirm — nothing else is sent unless you click the link in it. Every email after that has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and unsubscribing does not affect anything you have bought.

Who else is involved

Still Cracked uses third-party services to operate: MailerLite for email, Stripe for payment, RevenueHunt for the “Where should you start?” quiz, Meta for advertising measurement, and a web host for the site. Some store data outside Australia. They handle information under their own privacy terms.

Advertising measurement

This site runs one advertising tool: the Meta pixel, which measures whether Facebook and Instagram advertisements lead to anything. It is off by default and does not run at all unless you turn it on yourself. If you allow it, it records the page you looked at, and where relevant that you started checkout, completed a purchase, or signed up for the free guide. What it sends about a checkout or a purchase is the amount and the currency — not what you bought. It sets two cookies in your browser, and stores two further entries in your browser’s own storage.

It runs in your browser only. There is no server-side connection to Meta, and Advanced Matching is switched off, so your name, email address and similar details are not sent to Meta through it.

It is deliberately switched off on the Burnout Profile assessment, on both Burnout Profile pages in the shop, and on the support page — and it is switched off on every product page as well, so the name of anything you looked at in the shop is never sent to Meta. Nothing from any of those pages reaches Meta at all.

This site runs no general analytics — no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no session recording, no heatmaps. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

Your choice about advertising measurement

Advertising measurement is off unless you deliberately turn it on. Still Cracked does not interrupt your visit to ask: there is no pop-up, no banner and no consent box anywhere on the site. If you never touch the controls below, nothing is ever sent to Meta.

You can turn it on below, and turn it off again at any time. The choice is remembered in this browser only, and the Advertising choices link at the foot of the page brings you back here. If you turn it off after having had it on, the two cookies and the two browser-storage entries it created are removed.

Leaving it off changes nothing else about the site — the shop, the quiz, the free guide and the downloads all work exactly the same.

Where your visit came from

When you arrive, the site notes how you got here — the link, advertisement or search that brought you, the first page you landed on, and the identifying string your browser sends. If you later buy something, that is attached to your order, so that Still Cracked can tell which of its own links and advertisements are actually working.

It stays here. It is not sent to Meta or to anyone else, and it does not include your IP address. It is switched off on the Burnout Profile assessment, on both Burnout Profile pages in the shop, and on the support page, so those pages are never named in it — though if you looked at other pages first, the record made there still stands.

Security and retention

Information is held only as long as it is needed — for the email list, until you unsubscribe; for orders, as long as required for records and support. Reasonable steps are taken to protect it, though no online service can promise perfect security.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email hello@stillcracked.com to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. There is no charge and no need to give a reason.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, email first — most things are a misunderstanding and are fixed quickly. If that does not resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. Last updated 10 September 2026.
